Overview
This role will work with the infrastructure team to maintain and ensure that the rising SLA requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in digital systems engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2 - 4 years of progressive experience in a relevant field
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with IT operations and support, including incident, problem, and change management
- Experience with cloud services, particularly Azure and OCI.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator).
Deliverables
- Support in the design, implementation, configuration and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, operating systems, and other technology components.
- Ensure that the IT infrastructure is highly available, reliable, and scalable, and meets the organization’s performance, security and compliance requirements.
- Support in the process of developing new infrastructure solutions that meet the operational and strategic requirements.
- Provide support in managing day-to-day IT operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to IT infrastructure.
- Assist in managing the provision of IT infrastructure user support services to ensure end-user assistance is provided promptly, queries and needs are appropriately addressed as per defined SLAs and quality standards.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the IT infrastructure.
- Ensure that IT infrastructure vendors deliver products and services according to agreed-upon service levels and quality standards.
- Maintain documentation of IT infrastructure configurations, procedures, and processes.
- Support reporting manager in preparation of reports on the performance, availability and security of the IT infrastructure to the Director – Digital Solutions.
- Adherence to the information security policies/processes/program and for reporting any security breaches or incidents to the direct management.
- Recommend improvements to departmental procedures, and ensure implementation of policies, procedures, systems and controls covering the assigned areas of responsibility so that all activities meet the standards, compliance, and regulatory requirements, align to business requirements, and increase operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering ‘international leading practices’, in order to increase operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality services.
- Ensure that all reports are prepared timely and accurately, and meet the Department’s requirements, policies and standards.
