VAM Systems is currently looking for a System Administrator for our UAE operations with the following skillsets, terms, and conditions:
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience as a System Administrator.
Education and Qualifications Required:
Minimum certified degree in a computer-related field such as Computer Science or Engineering.
Recognized certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), CCNA, Commvault certified professional, Azure Solution Architect, MCP, etc., are preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting mail flow issues (Exchange, Office365, Forcepoint).
- Troubleshooting server-related issues - Exchange servers, AD, RADIUS servers, EV server, F-secure antivirus management, Symantec Endpoint Management, upgrades, or troubleshooting with support, DHCP issues, Exchange reporter application upgrades, etc.
- Monthly Windows patching on all VMs and physical servers through WSUS (~160 servers). Pushing Windows patches to workstations.
- Vulnerability management as per tickets and emails received from the IT security team.
- User permissions and account management as per requests from the IT security team.
- Providing second-level support to the support team, including troubleshooting Outlook issues, network, DHCP, IP, user accounts, VPN, MFA-MDM troubleshooting, and coordinating with Microsoft Office365 support if required.
- Handling ad hoc requests such as troubleshooting at user desks, public folder migration during Office365 migration, analyzing spam issues, auditing, application upgrades, and system infrastructure issues.
- Creating PDQ GPO packages for mass deployment.
- Deploying email signatures and screensavers as per marketing requests.
- Managing Service Desk application issues, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Managing ForcePoint email and web appliance updates and troubleshooting website access issues.
- Handling Reverse Proxy Fortiweb operations.
- Managing folder mailbox permissions, group memberships, and exchange hybrid permissions.
- Managing Microsoft Office365 tenant operations, including creating mailboxes and permissions.
- Managing printers, SafeQ, XDA applications, and related reports.
- Performing backup operations, including tape changes.
- Additional knowledge required includes MS Exchange, MS Active Directory, Windows services (DNS, DHCP), anti-virus and anti-spam systems, database management, and virtualization platforms.
