Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Dubai is seeking an experienced supervisor in electrical installations. The successful candidate will ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations while directing the daily activities of the team and subcontractors. Applicants must hold a diploma in Electrical Engineering and have over 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English is required. Compensation and benefits are as per UAE Labor Law.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with Specifications Drawings and other quality documents.
• Direct and Supervise day to day activities of his subordinates & subcontractors reporting to him and ensure compliance to operational procedures & work activities as per Project specific approved method of statements.
• Prepare and carry out site inductions safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Assessing managing safety hazards and raising safety concerns at the appropriate level ensuring project safety requirements and complying with company HSE policies and relevant Governmental and other legal requirements.
• Ensure that the quality control procedures as per our company s ISO 9001 Management systems are maintained.
• Liaise with the consultants and quality inspectors to carry out regularise inspections to ensure compliance with relevant standards processes and procedures.
• Ensure all work is completed as per the project schedule and construction programs.
• Ensure that appropriate site rules and welfare facilities are in place and comply with relevant legal requirements.
• Check the materials at site to ensure that they comply with the correct specifications and quality standards.
• Schedule Control & Monitor all plant and equipment and the materials on a regular basis to achieve successful project completion.
• Attend site progress and safety meetings as and when required.
• Perform other appropriate duties and activities as assigned by the Project Engineer.
• Continuously develop knowledge of innovative fire fighting installation techniques and products to enhance the business and fulfill our company HCM requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical (3 Years) or equivalent ITI (2 Years Course) in Electrical Engineering
• More than 2 years experience in Installations & Supervision.
• English language proficiency
