Job Purpose

To ensure the employee involvement programmes are administered effectively throughout the company, ultimately improving the levels of innovation activities at the company.

Key Accountabilities
  • Innovation Processes Strategic Planning – Ensure that the company’s high profile commitment to the employee involvement schemes is administered and well-coordinated effectively and efficiently.
  • Facilitate a strong flow of viable ideas with a high percentage rate of implementation and significant sustained financial benefits.
  • Set monthly and annual goals for the areas and measure how well these goals are met on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Daily Management Activities – Ensure change management concepts are adhered to for all ideas submitted for awards and to confirm areas follow the implementation process by completing all the procedural formalities.
  • Monitor the area performance so that any unsatisfactory performance is identified and reported to the respective area management.
  • Ensure that necessary follow-ups and reminders are forwarded to the areas for faster implementation and awarding of suggestions.
  • Performance Reporting – Provide updates and statistics on scheme performance and implement the action and decisions as agreed by the area committees.
  • Provide necessary Suggestion Scheme Performance statistics to area management at regular intervals.
  • Management of Innovation Systems – Ensure that the Suggestion Scheme software operates to fit the needs and requirements of the business through the implementation of continual enhancements and changes as and when required.
  • Training and development – Deliver training courses on the existing Employee Involvement Programs to all employees and explain the overall benefits and comprehensive information regarding the Scheme.
  • Conduct induction course for new employees on EGA Suggestion Scheme and the Online System.
  • Coordination & Execution of events – Organise Suggestion Scheme Annual Judging for the selection of best suggestions of the year in various categories.
  • Liaise with departments to organise the monthly and annual awards to recognise the contribution of employees.
  • Plan and organise audit by Suggestion Scheme Area Committee Members to verify awarded suggestions to ensure the credibility of the system.
  • Budget and KPIs – Achieve financial objectives by submitting information for evaluation of ideas by Finance Department.
  • Ensure all financial saving ideas are verified for full documentation and, if required, acquire additional information from respective areas.
  • Local/Regional/International Conference Participation – Ensure the submission documents for the Idea of the Year competitions organised by local and international are submitted on time; assist the shortlisted finalists to complete various formalities to attend the conference/competition.
  • Share Best Practices & Benchmarking – Deliver presentations on employee involvement programs for external organisations during benchmarking visits as directed by the Manager.
  • Assist the management in showcasing company’s innovation programmes at local/regional and international levels through paper presentations.
  • Prepare and submit performance statistics for the international benchmarking surveys.
  • Communication – Maintain effective interaction within the department and with various management levels in the company; ensure that communication with external organisations is conducted in a professional manner.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience – Minimum 3 years of relevant experience managing employee involvement schemes, including at least 1 year in a position of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
  • Skills – Knowledge of the principles and techniques of administrative management including organisation, planning, training, budgeting and reporting.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with tight timelines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
