Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our engineering team for offshore oil and gas projects based in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the engineering phase of EPCI (Engineering Procurement Construction and Installation) projects for fixed offshore platforms with strong exposure to Saudi Aramco standards and project execution methodologies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and review structural engineering deliverables including calculations design reports drawings and specifications.
  • Perform structural analysis and design of fixed offshore platforms (jackets topsides boat landings etc.) in compliance with international codes (API AISC DNV) and Saudi Aramco requirements.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including piping electrical instrumentation and procurement for seamless design integration.
  • Participate in design reviews (3D model reviews HAZIDs HAZOPs) and provide technical solutions to structural challenges.
  • Interface with client representatives classification societies and certifying authorities during project execution.
  • Support procurement with material selection technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
  • Assist in the resolution of structural site queries and non-conformance reports during construction and installation phases.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters degree is an advantage).
  • 5-15 years of experience in structural engineering within the offshore oil and gas industry.
  • Direct experience in EPCI projects for fixed offshore platforms is essential.
  • Hands‑on experience with structural analysis software such as SACS SESAM etc.
  • Strong understanding of Saudi Aramco engineering standards and design practices.
  • Familiar with offshore installation methodologies and fabrication yard interface.
  • Proficient in producing and reviewing structural drawings and MTOs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural multidisciplinary team.
