Are you a certified Health Safety and Environment (HSE) expert looking to make a meaningful impact? The Talabat Regional Logistics team in Dubai seeks a dedicated individual to lead the charge in enhancing the safety and wellbeing of our delivery heroes. As a Sr. Manager Health & Safety, you’ll play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing safety protocols, ensuring compliance and enhancing the overall health and safety standards for our valued riders. We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Rider Lifecycle team. With an in‑depth understanding of the bigger picture, you will be responsible for riders’ health, safety & wellbeing across the MENA region and will be a key leader in our exciting tech solutions, pioneering safety initiatives and actively auditing processes in all 8 markets. Your North Star will be to ensure data‑driven improvements in the way we tackle safety challenges on and off the road, with the ultimate goal of creating a healthy environment for Talabat riders. This role isn’t just about maintaining safety; it’s about driving positive change and championing rider welfare at every step.

Whats On Your Plate
  • Own and lead the data strategy for rider health and safety, leveraging insights to design and optimize processes that enhance speed, efficiency and rider wellbeing.
  • Lead project‑management efforts to develop and execute region‑specific action plans, ensuring adherence to strict timelines, market‑specific needs and seamless coordination with global, regional and local stakeholders.
  • Leverage industry‑leading technologies and processes such as telematics, accident validation and Incident Management Systems (IMS) by auditing BAU operations, identifying inefficiencies and driving improvements for a safer and more efficient rider experience.
  • Develop, implement and maintain safety SOPs to ensure consistency across all markets while regularly reviewing and updating them to align with evolving safety standards and operational needs.
  • Serve as the advocate for rider safety by staying up to date with local safety regulations and best practices while collaborating with regulators and the public relations team to drive meaningful safety improvements both on and off the road.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and excellence in key safety initiatives such as Road Safety Weeks, Rider Insurance process, social media ride safety campaigns and the adoption of innovative technology solutions.
  • Leverage data‑driven insights to identify safety risks, measure impact and drive informed decision‑making.
  • Address and investigate safety complaints and concerns raised by vendors, riders and customers, implementing corrective action plans to eliminate potential dangers.
What Did We Order
  • HSE certification or relevant qualifications.
  • 5‑6 years of health & safety experience, ideally within logistics.
  • Data‑driven mindset: analyze data, derive insights and present findings concisely. Critical thinking is a must; prior experience with analytical tools (SQL, Excel, GSheets, Tableau, Looker or equivalent) is desired.
  • Excel in leadership skill and stakeholder management, collaborating across teams and with external partners.
  • Proven project‑management experience.
