Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors and ensure all required documents and schedules are prepared.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end / year-end closing processes.
- Compliance & Taxation: Ensure VAT compliance and assist in corporate tax filing as per UAE regulations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
- Internal Controls: Maintain and improve internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight: Monitor payment cycles, receivables aging, and vendor reconciliation.
- Team Guidance: Support junior accountants and coordinate workflow within the finance department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or CA qualification preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, including at least 2–3 years with an audit firm
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)
