Role Purpose

Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation (KSQF) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Communication & Media Specialist to champion the voice and impact of the KSQF by supporting in developing and executing integrated, multi-channel communications and media strategies. This role is pivotal in transforming our humanitarian work into powerful narratives that drive global awareness, foster engagement, and secure support for children's rights. The specialist will serve as a brand guardian, a media liaison, and a digital storyteller, directly contributing to the Foundation's growth and influence.

Accountabilities
Communication & Brand Management
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and media strategy aligned with KSQF’s Foundation’s mission, values, and global priorities.
  • Manage KSQF’s brand identity and ensure consistent tone, messaging, and design across all platforms and materials.
  • Draft and edit key content including press releases, speeches, newsletters, talking points, feature stories, and social media posts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to translate complex program outcomes and advocacy efforts into impactful communication products.
  • Develop communications toolkits, templates, and guidelines to support brand coherence across the organization and partners.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Management.
Media & Public Relations
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and international media outlets.
  • Proactively identify and pitch stories that elevate KSQF’s profile and highlight impact.
  • Coordinate press conferences, interviews, and media briefings.
  • Manage crisis communication and reputational risk in coordination with leadership.
  • Track media coverage, analyze impact, and prepare regular media reports and insights.
  • Support fundraising and 'friend-raising' initiatives through creative communication assets, visuals, and targeted campaigns.
  • Oversee content creation for social media, website, newsletters, and publications to enhance reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with designers, videographers, and agencies to produce multimedia materials such as short films, infographics, and animations.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Management.
Occupational Health & Safety
  • Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment, and risk control.
  • Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety.
  • Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage at the workplace.
Skills
Experience & Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Media, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a strategic communications role, with a portfolio of successful campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with professional proficiency in both English and Arabic (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing social media platforms, websites (CMS like WordPress), and email marketing tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using digital analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) to measure performance and guide strategy.
  • Experience within the non-profit, humanitarian, or international development sector.
