Role Description

To lead and manage end-to-end sourcing for strategic and tactical requirements while driving key emphasis on high-value and complex procurement specialized in IT and lead other indirect categories like Marketing, HR, Facilities Management for our client requirements. This role is responsible for driving sourcing strategy across spend categories, optimizing total cost of ownership (TCO), mitigating commercial, contractual and operational risks, ensuring governance & compliance. To ensure procurement activities consistently reflect the industry’s best practices in selecting suppliers considering best value, price, quality, timely deliverables.


Responsibilities


  • Drive and lead sourcing strategies across assigned categories (IT Specialist covering software, hardware, IT cloud solutions, Information security, managed services and lead Non-IT procurement categories like Marketing, FM, HR etc) and ensuring benchmarking practices

  • Drive cross-functional stakeholder engagement and alignment to centralize procurement, establish procurement planning and increase sourcing efficiency

  • Establish and maintain a structured stakeholder engagement framework with all client\'s business units, with the objective of driving strategic sourcing activities and enhancing cross-functional collaboration

  • Lead sourcing initiatives for complex, long terms, large-scale requirements, ensuring cost effectiveness, full compliance with regulatory, operational, and contractual risk controls

  • Oversee and provide governance for end-to-end sourcing processes including market analysis, strategy development, supplier identification, tendering tools selection (RFP/RFQ/RFI), and contracts management

  • Conduct spend analysis, market intelligence, supplier risk assessments for all sourcing activities

  • Lead negotiations and contract finalization, working closely with stakeholders like Legal, end-user, supplier

  • Maintain category plans and preferred supplier lists to ensure continuity, and cost effectiveness

  • Coach, manage, lead, oversee and support sourcing team on day-to-day activities

  • Drive procurement initiatives and process optimization efforts in line with Client\'s strategic goals

  • Monitor and report on sourcing KPIs, cost savings, efficiency and contract compliance

  • Ensure adherence to relevant policies like procurement policy, procurement manual, SLA metrics, delegation of authority matrix, audit requirements, regulatory and statutory guidelines


Knowledge and Skills


  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills

  • Handling multiple concurrent sourcing projects under tight timelines

  • Driving measurable value in terms of cost, quality, risk, and sustainability

  • Analytical and reporting capabilities to establish procurement scorecards

  • Knowledge of procurement systems, supplier database, Strategic Sourcing & Tender Management

  • Lead a team, build category knowledge and sourcing capabilities


Experience

Minimum of 8-10 years of work experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, with specialization in IT Software, IT Hardware, IT SAAS, PAAS, IAAS solutions, Information security solutions, IT managed services, and lead other procurement categories like Marketing, Facilities Management, Consultancy services, HR demonstrating experience in contract negotiation, and sourcing execution. At least 5 years\' experience as a Sourcing Manager.
