Your day at NTT DATA

As a Senior Technical Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing and delivering next-generation data center solutions that power enterprise transformation. Your day will involve architecting modern infrastructures that span compute, storage, virtualization, and AI-driven workloads, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with industry best practices. You will translate complex technical requirements into robust architectures, blending innovation with operational efficiency.

You will lead customer workshops, gather business and technical requirements, and craft high-level and low-level designs that form the backbone of Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDC). From developing BoQs and technical proposals to creating implementation roadmaps, you will play a pivotal role in shaping solutions that meet client objectives. Your expertise will extend to building financial models, TCO/ROI justifications, and supporting the sales team through RFP responses and solution defense.

Collaboration will be key—working closely with vendor partners, engaging in PoC initiatives, and staying ahead of emerging technologies such as AI-ready data centers and GPU-based architectures. Your ability to simplify complex concepts for business stakeholders, coupled with strong pre-sales acumen, will ensure that every engagement delivers strategic value and positions NTT DATA as a trusted advisor in the UAE market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDC) and modern infrastructure solutions.
• Build end-to-end data center architectures, including compute, storage, virtualization, network fabrics, and AI workloads.
• Develop BoQ, solution designs, technical proposals, HLD/LLD, and implementation roadmaps.
• Conduct customer workshops and requirement-gathering sessions across business and technical teams.
• Create financial models, BOM costings, and TCO/ROI business justifications.
• Support the sales team in RFP/RFI responses and competitive positioning.
• Collaborate with vendor partners and maintain strong relationships across the UAE ecosystem.
• Lead PoC engagements for storage, virtualization, HCI, and AI infrastructure stacks.
• Ensure solution scalability, high availability, performance, and alignment with industry best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies in AI data center, GPU computing, and next‑gen storage.

Technical Expertise

• Deep expertise in Data Center Infrastructure, including Compute & Servers, Storage Systems (SAN, NAS, Object), Virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM), Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC), Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), Backup, DR, Ransomware Protection, and Data Mobility, Data Center Networks & Fabric Architectures, Proven experience designing AI-ready data centers, including GPU-based clusters and high-performance storage.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation, orchestration, and cloud-ready architectures.
• Familiarity with colocation, edge, DR sites, and hybrid DC models.

Vendor Experience

• Compute & Infrastructure: HPE, Cisco UCS, Dell PowerEdge
• Storage: NetApp, Pure Storage, Dell EMC, HPE Storage
• Virtualization & SDDC: VMware vSphere/vSAN/NSX, Nutanix, Red Hat
• AI Data Center: NVIDIA GPU stacks, DGX, AI networking fabrics
• Knowledge of backup platforms like Veritas, Veeam, Rubrik is a plus.

Business & Communication Skills

• Strong communication skills—able to simplify complex data center concepts for business stakeholders.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers in the UAE market is mandatory.
• Ability to articulate value propositions around performance, efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Skilled in writing proposals, HLDs/LLDs, and presenting to C-level audiences.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills for data center cost and sizing.

Required experience

• 8 –12+ years of experience in data center technologies, with at least 5+ years in the UAE.
• Relevant certifications (VMware VCP/VCAP, HPE ASE/Master, Dell/NetApp/Pure certs, NVIDIA or AI infrastructure certs) are a major plus.
• Ability to work in fast-paced pre‑sales environments and lead solution strategy end‑to‑end.
• Proactive, self-driven, and highly technical with a strong appetite for emerging AI infrastructure trends.
