Job Title: Soil & Material Lab Technician Location: Dubai UAE Salary: Depends Upon Experience Experience: 4 to 5 Years

We are hiring a skilled Soil & Material Lab Technician to perform laboratory and field testing of soil aggregate concrete asphalt and other construction materials. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of materials with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical and chemical testing of soil aggregates, concrete, and asphalt in accordance with ASTM, BS, or AASHTO standards.
• Collect field samples and perform on-site tests such as density compaction and moisture content.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including sieves, ovens, compression testing machines, and other instruments.
• Prepare test reports and documentation for quality control and compliance records.
• Ensure calibration and routine maintenance of lab instruments.
• Follow safety and quality assurance protocols during testing procedures.
• Support geotechnical engineers in field investigations and site sampling activities.
• Maintain accurate logs of samples, test results, and laboratory activities.

Skills & Qualifications Required

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in soil and material testing, preferably in a construction or geotechnical lab environment.
• Good knowledge of international testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS).
• Ability to prepare and interpret lab test reports accurately.
• Familiarity with geotechnical and construction material testing procedures.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and basic computer literacy.
• Communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
