Job description

We are looking for a Site Architect to support the Resident Engineer and oversee processes during the construction stages of the project.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate with other disciplines.
  2. Assist the Resident Engineer with contractual duties on site.
  3. Process contract documents and assist with contract administration.
  4. Resolve technical engineering problems within the discipline and coordinate solutions to ensure progress.
  5. Inform the Project Manager / Resident Engineer of technical issues affecting construction progress and quality.
  6. Monitor interior architectural works for compliance with contract documents and procedures.
  7. Review and process shop drawings and technical submittals.
  8. Respond to RFI’s related to interior and architectural works.
  9. Review construction submittals from start to close-out.
  10. Assess Contractor's installation methods and shop drawings for compliance.
  11. Evaluate Contractor's material proposals against technical requirements.
  12. Review and approve subcontractors' proposals from a technical standpoint.
  13. Monitor procurement and deliveries to support schedule adherence.
  14. Conduct site inspections for adherence to drawings, specifications, safety, and schedule.
  15. Lead snagging and de-snagging to progress works to completion.
  16. Attend project and technical meetings as directed.
  17. Draft and issue site instructions as needed.
  18. Provide advice on variation costs claimed by the Contractor.
  19. Oversee architectural work and ensure compliance with contractual and quality standards.
  20. Ensure quality control procedures are followed and improve them as needed.
  21. Collaborate on hazard elimination related to environmental, safety, and health concerns.
  22. Review and interpret design drawings and specifications for current revisions and correct execution.
  23. Support the project with inspection requests for works and materials.
  24. Perform other relevant responsibilities.
  25. Support external communications and supervise construction activities within operational systems.
  26. Follow HSE policies, identify risks, and promote safe work practices.
  27. Manage work schedules and assign tasks to team members.
  28. Communicate the action plan, motivate, and lead the team to achieve goals.
  29. Use performance management systems to improve personal and team performance.
  30. Coach team members for skill development.
  31. Plan and oversee testing, inspection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  32. Ensure organizational compliance with policies and regulations.
  33. Assist in managing client relationships using relevant systems.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Experience
  • Over 3 to 6 years of general experience dealing with various situations and advising others.
  • 7 to 12 months of managerial experience supervising junior colleagues.
