The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Service Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, we will provide a drive service sales process in collaboration with the Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager. You will be generating service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the designated areas. You will be focusing on installed base penetration and sell the entire Service Product portfolio in col-elaboration with other Hitachi Energy service units. Build long-term customer relationships and ensure immediate response to specific customer needs and issues. This role reports directly to the Local Ser-vice Sales Manager – UAE.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Preparing Proposals and follow up
  • Proactive & reactive sales of High Voltage Service & Transformer service portfolios
  • Evaluation of client enquiry documentation and interpretation of their requirements, and assessment of commercial terms and conditions.
  • Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations, considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation.
  • Manage the preparation of all technical, financial, cash flow and operational delivery aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities in contract agreements across customers/channels.
  • Planning daily activities, developing, and maintaining customer relations and managing customer accounts, Developing, implementing, and following up on strategic sales plans.
  • Establish effective business relations with sales executives, management, and technical team members. Preparing periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market plans.
  • Meeting with personal sales targets as planned.
  • Coordination with Service Sales Manager to decide on pricing strategies.
  • Support to Service Sales Manager during meetings with customers
  • Exploring further market opportunities from both existing customers and potential customers.
  • Proposing techno-commercial solutions according to customers’ requirements.
  • Supervising distribution and archiving documentation issued to customers as part of tendering and contract negotiations.
  • Maintaining project pipeline and ordering forecasts using Hitachi Energy tools.
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing specialist support and solutions.
  • Recommendation to customers for immediate and future service requirements, provide feedback to Service Sales team.
  • Acting as representative of the OEM during interaction with the customer and preparing the tools, equipment and parts needed for a service job and understanding the scope of the job to be performed.
  • Acting as voice of customer back into internal engineering and quality functions.
  • Managing multifunctional interfaces are effectively conducted - internal, feeder factories, service department, customers, and sub suppliers
  • Able to show personal leadership & maintain a teamwork environment to deliver assignments. Strong self-disciplined approach to ensure quality and accuracy of delivery.
  • Establishing long-term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations, respond immediately to issues and demonstrate in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote product Life Cycle Management
  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • A bachelor’s degree in in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in Service sales, Estimation & Bids Proposals and strong customer relationship skills.
  • Proven understanding of Hitachi Energy systems and products
  • Experience working within the Energy sector
  • Strong commercial, technical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with a strategic and result-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel across assigned countries as needed.
  • UAE/GCC driving license preferred
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
