Role Overview
Senior Technical Analyst - Consumer Finance Solutions. Location: Abu Dhabi. Act as a Business Analyst between business and IT for facilitating transformation of business requirements into effective solutions. The incumbent is responsible to improve operation efficiency in processing Customer Finance applications and provide automated digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather requirements from business and transform into effective solutions.
- Automate existing manual processes and provide solutions to business.
- Key role in digital transformation for retail finance solutions.
- Support business users to translate ADIB business requirements to vendors (technical steps) and vice‑versa.
- Understand Islamic finance processing, share trading commodity management.
- Understand retail finance repayment and various profit type calculations.
- Understand finance accounting and charges collection.
- In‑depth knowledge of credit underwriting process in retail finances.
- Knowledge of credit bureau and central bank regulations for retail financing.
- Expertise in delinquency system management and auto‑dialer system.
- Expertise in financial management services such as rescheduling, post‑postponement.
- Develop and implement IT policy and best‑practice guides.
- Proficiency in mathematical skills and good problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Prepare and review IARs and related project documents for approvals.
- Coordinate between project and business teams during project execution.
- Support UAT of projects and tasks including documentation and approvals.
- Support go‑live and post‑go‑live activities for assigned projects and tasks.
- Follow up and track services, coordinate vendor support issues, respond to service tickets in a timely fashion.
- Follow mandatory and obligatory standards set by management in delivering services.
- Manage vendor systems and their production supports including vendor coordination, issue resolution, and service quality monitoring.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure implementation of business plans using best fit technology with project managers, technical resources, business resources, and vendors within agreed timeframes.
- Oversee and direct business requirements analysis, development of functional and program specifications, relational database design, programming, testing, implementation, and documentation for retail and central operations applications.
- Attend market seminars and industry forums to stay abreast of latest technological trends and best practices and implement best practices for the bank.
- Implement short‑gap or bespoke systems for continuity in business operations when vendor cannot provide appropriate solutions.
- Ensure application of SDLC standards by team members.
- Manage retail and central operations applications, coordinate vendor support, issues, enhancements, and customizations.
- Manage incidents, convert to known errors, design escalation procedures.
- Recommend applicable ITIL or other suitable standards for IT infrastructure (operational planning, availability planning, change control, etc.).
- Schedule and assign staff to ensure application satisfaction and timely completion.
- Ensure availability and performance targets for all retail and central operations systems.
- Execute ad‑hoc instructions and provide flexibility within ethical and professional standards to achieve exceptional business objectives and ADIB group objectives.
- Familiarize with technology trends and strategic use of technology by peers.
- Responsible for project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure within specified timelines.
- Implement KPIs and controls to monitor application performance; continuously monitor and enhance technology policies and procedures to provide optimum returns for stakeholders.
- Establish partnerships with business stakeholders for proactive approach, constant feedback to assess operational requirements, and process automation to remedy short‑term and long‑term issues.
- Plan and assign resources based on skills, motivate and mentor the team.
- Conduct regular team meetings to develop discipline among team members.
