Job summary

A key player in the hydrocarbon sector is seeking a professional to manage commercial agreements and oversee the negotiation and implementation of contracts. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years in a commercial role, preferably within the Refining or Chemical industry. Responsibilities include coordinating stakeholders for pricing, monitoring performance management, and ensuring successful service delivery in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in establishing and managing commercial contracts in hydrocarbon services.
  • Familiarity with commercial contract structures and terms.

Job description
JOB PURPOSE:

Support in the development, coordination and monitoring of all commercial agreements existing between respective TA’ZIZ JV entities and parties for the supply and provisioning of Infrastructure services, Land, other services like Fire services, Crisis Management, Medical, Oil Spill, Easement, OSBL Security Utilities, Logistics services, to ensure that all such the services are provided as per agreement terms and implemented in a reliable, efficient, and safe manner. Develop & implement the TA’ZIZ ECO System commercial structure and contribute in operating model to manage Services Management Companies to enable ECO Projects. Commercial representation of Park’s infrastructural development.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Management of Commercial Agreements
  • Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders to devise models for cost buildup and pricing structure for supply of feedstock and services in alignment with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders on adopting charging mechanism philosophy for respective agreements considering all tenants' requirements, scale of tenants, provision for any discounts, subsidy and escalations, supply assurance, occupancy levels, assessed risks and liabilities etc.
  • Develop and implement the commercial structure of TA’ZIZ ECO System through incorporations journey of Services Management Companies (SMCs) of Utilities and Logistics to enable all TA’ZIZ Projects. Be owner of commercial transactions of all SMCs during steady state operations of Park through UPA/USA and LSA/LSSA
  • Participate and contribute as commercial SME in preparation and structuring of all commercial agreements with stakeholders from perspective of commercial and legal matters.
  • Coordinate and supervise the commercial aspects of concerned projects.
  • Provides inputs in identifying and rationalizing the technical, financial, and legal requirements during the development of all Commercial Agreements.
  • Supervise implementation of all Commercial Agreements between respective TA'ZIZ JV entities and parties complying with the agreements' terms and conditions.
  • Participate in all commercial agreements sign-off with respective stakeholders and demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
  • Facilitate with all stakeholders for successful implementation of all commercial agreements with no complications and hurdles.
  • Discuss and interact with all stakeholders understand contractual obligations and adherence, and also determine when processes violate regulations, make recommendations of all factors affecting a business situation and conflicts.
  • Monitor and enforce the Systems for effective performance management and monitoring of all agreements including successful service delivery, clearing of monthly invoice payments etc.
  • Facilitate dispute resolutions related to the commercial agreements between parties, ensure coordination with Claims Management team to resolve the dispute appropriately.
  • Develop a tracking system for controlling and monitoring expiry, renewal and extensions of all Commercial Agreements.
  • Liaise and coordinate with respective partis for the sign-off of all Commercial Agreements.

Prepare periodic status reports during the development and/or amendments of Commercial Agreements highlighting areas requiring special attention and consideration for discussion/endorsement of Top Management.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • 10 years’ experience in commercial role preferably in Refining / Chemical industry.
  • Relevant working experience in establishing and managing commercial contracts and agreements related to hydrocarbon and services industries.
  • Conversant with commercial structures, clauses, terms & conditions, and all key elements required to frame and execute commercial agreements.
  • Exposure to multiple products and chemistries within the Chemical industry is an advantage.
