Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department you will oversee and manage large-scale construction projects for private developers ensuring quality safety and compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site engineering expertise and leadership throughout all phases of construction projects
  • Collaborate with project managers contractors and clients to ensure project goals and timelines are met
  • Review and approve engineering designs drawings and specifications
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks
  • Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering problems
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes safety standards and environmental regulations
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively
  • Prepare and present detailed progress reports to stakeholders
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers on the team
  • Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in engineering with at least 5 years in a senior resident engineer role
  • Proven experience working with private developers on large-scale construction projects
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Proficiency in project management software and CAD applications
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies and best practices
  • Understanding of contract management and dispute resolution
