Job Brief

We are looking for a Senior QA/QC Engineer with extensive experience in steel fabrication and EPC projects. The role involves leading the implementation and continuous improvement of quality management processes, supervising QA/QC teams, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with international standards and project requirements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the project's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and client requirements.
  • Supervise and guide QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and document controllers to maintain quality control across all project stages.
  • Prepare and review critical quality documents, including NDE procedures, Inspection Procedures, calibration records for measuring and testing instruments, material traceability records, and SMAR.
  • Coordinate with Third-Party Inspection Agencies (TPIA) and clients on quality system implementation and project quality issues.
  • Work closely with design and engineering teams to resolve technical quality issues.
  • Plan and conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with QMS requirements.
  • Review and approve subcontractors’ quality documentation, including method statements, procedures, and materials.
  • Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process works, and completed activities.
  • Maintain QA/QC logs, including IRs, MIRs, WIRs, RFI records, test reports, and quality dashboards.
  • Lead the identification, documentation, and closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Act as the primary focal point for all quality-related communication with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Maintain complete, organized, and up-to-date QA/QC documentation for handover to the project team.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to workflow, inspection procedures, and quality controls.
  • Analyze project quality data to identify trends and optimize performance.
Mandate Requirements
  • Currently working within a steel fabrication company manufacturing products such as Pressure Vessels, Process Skids & Modular Packages, Storage Tanks, Enclosures, and rooms, etc.
  • Must have previously dealt with the Oil & Gas industry.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of QA/QC experience in static equipment fabrication within EPC or fabrication companies.
  • Strong understanding of international codes and standards (ASME Sec VIII Div 1 & 2, API 650/620, AWS D1.1, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in steel fabrication, welding processes, and NDT methods.
  • Certifications such as CSWIP 3.1/3.2, AWS-CWI, API, NDT Level II/III are a plus.
  • Proficient in QA/QC documentation, ITPs, and traceability requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
