Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the Abu Dhabi Emirate seeks a Testing and Commissioning Protection Engineer. The role involves executing testing, commissioning, and functional verification of protection relays for HV/EHV substations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, TAQA Competent Person Certification, and 7–10 years of experience with protection testing. Strong hands-on experience with relay test kits and knowledge of IEC 61850 standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years experience in protection testing & commissioning.
• Mandatory TAQA Competent Person Certification.
• Hands-on experience with relay test kits required.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of protection relays.
• Carry out secondary injection and end-to-end testing.
• Verify protection schemes including Differential and Distance protections.
