A leading global company in the chemical sector is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Dubai for a renewable 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact between the contractor and client, ensuring the project's smooth execution, from testing to handover. Requirements include a degree in Mechanical Engineering and around 10 years of relevant experience in chemicals, food & beverages, or pharmaceuticals. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Around 10 years of experience in chemicals, food & beverages, pharmaceuticals, or petrochemicals.
• Minimum of 3 years working as an engineer.
• Basic knowledge of GMP requirements is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Contract: 12 Months Renewable Contract

Job Purpose Main point of contact between contractor and client stakeholder participate in the testing & commissioning and takeover of the project review contractor submittals to ensure specifications are in accordance to company specifications Inspect and follow up contractors on project defects resolution.

The Job

• Covering of mechanical and process utilities systems (including fumehood ventilation)
• Preparation and closure of the relevant permit for the contractors
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth and safe execution of work.
• Assist end users and Engineering team on taking over the revamped area and ensure proper handover.
• Coordinate with EHS and Site Engineering to follow and close up on regulatory.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree qualified (Mechanical Engineering)
• Around 10 Years experience within the Chemicals / Food & Beverages Pharmaceutical or petrochemicals industries
• Minimum 3 Years working as an engineer
• Basic Knowledge of GMP requirement would be an advantage
• Good command in stakeholder management
