Overview

Intelligent Solutions have partnered with a leading Insurance brokerage firm to hire a visionary and commercially minded Senior Product Business Analyst within the Digital Transformation team. You will play a key role in shaping, launching, and optimizing innovative insurance products and digital experiences. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineering, Operations, Underwriting, and Compliance to turn complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements that fuel scalable, user-centric digital insurance solutions. You will also mentor junior analysts and ensure processes and products meet business objectives. This is a strategic role suited for an experienced analyst who understands the intersection of business goals, user needs, and digital product delivery. You will lead cross-functional alignment from concept to launch and beyond, while influencing strategy through insights and structured analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Discovery & Definition: Collaborate with Product Managers to define product goals, value propositions, and success metrics. Facilitate stakeholder interviews, customer research, and competitor analysis to inform product roadmaps. Translate business objectives and customer pain points into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Research and analyze industry trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Requirements Management: Lead end-to-end business analysis for new features and product enhancements across digital journeys (quote, buy, renew, claim, etc.). Conduct requirements gathering, user research, and stakeholder workshops to inform product strategy. Develop functional and non-functional requirement documents, process flows, and business rules to support digital product delivery. Perform gap and impact analysis to evaluate new initiatives. Establish and enforce documentation best practices across the team. Drive backlog grooming, prioritization, and sprint planning sessions with cross-functional teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary bridge between business, product, tech, and design teams, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and alignment. Partner with Product Managers on product vision, strategy, and KPIs. Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, and requirement walkthroughs. Work with UI / UX teams to ensure user experience considerations are embedded into product requirements. Influence senior stakeholders with structured insights and recommendations. Support QA by validating test cases against acceptance criteria and facilitating issue resolution.
  • Data-Driven Decision Support: Analyze customer behavior, process data, and product performance to inform prioritization & strategy. Assist in creating dashboards and KPIs to monitor product adoption, conversion, and experience gaps. Provide product / process recommendations on enhancements based on analytics.
  • Quality & Testing Support: Oversee UAT planning and execution for critical initiatives. Ensure feature delivery matches requirements and acceptance criteria. Track and resolve defects, ensuring timely closure.
  • Process Optimization: Use data insights, customer feedback, and operational metrics to identify optimization opportunities. Recommend and drive continuous improvement in digital processes and product operations. Drive process redesign and automation aligned with digital transformation goals. Identify inefficiencies and design sustainable solutions. Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are incorporated in workflows.
  • Operational Excellence: Champion best practices in analysis, documentation, and delivery across the product team. Introduce standards, templates, and reporting mechanisms to streamline execution. Drive continuous improvement in how the product organization operates. Create / review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal process documentation.
  • Leadership & Strategic Contribution: Mentor junior analysts and contribute to Analysis best practices and frameworks within the product function. Participate in go-to-market planning, internal training, and documentation to support product launches. Support vendor evaluations, solution design workshops, and partnership integrations.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Owner, or related role, preferably within insurance, fintech, or digital platforms.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments with cross-functional product squads.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and product lifecycle practices.
  • Demonstrated success in contributing to or leading digital product development initiatives from ideation to launch and scaling.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in insurance / financial services.
Core Skills
  • Strong knowledge of product discovery, Agile / Scrum methodologies, and digital delivery practices.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency with SQL, Excel, or BI tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with customer journey tools (e.g., Miro, Figma, MS Visio) and backlog management systems (e.g., JIRA).
  • Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with API-based products, data mapping, and digital insurance platforms is a strong plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to distill complex information clearly.
  • Understanding of health or general insurance products (quote, bind, issue, claim).
  • Experience working in regulated environments or with compliance teams.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-evolving startup-like environments.
  • Product mindset with a focus on outcomes, not just deliverables.
  • Insurance domain expertise is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to quality standards, process controls, and knowledge management practices, especially from an operational excellence perspective is a plus.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution detail.
  • Leadership ability to mentor, coach, and guide junior analysts.
