Job description
Responsibilities
  1. Review and further develop the Workforce Affairs methodology, framework and strategy to implement, continually improve Inspection and development of policies towards ensuring compliance of zones’ rules and regulations in line with Federal Legislations & Authorities.
  2. Manage & direct the operations of the respective unit by providing specialist knowledge, coaching, training and development and encouraging and ensuring teamwork, and aligning work processes to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets and objectives (accuracy, timeliness, and compliance). Act as a point of reference within own area specialisation.
  3. Lead the development and execution of Workforce Affairs plans based on business requirements and inputs from the team to ensure that the unit works according to robust and comprehensive plans that meet P&Z’s objectives, while resolving any deviations.
  4. Oversee the timely and high-quality delivery of all Workforce Affairs reports in P&Z and ensure timely resolution of escalated cases & effective management of complex labour disputes.
  5. Directly engage in the resolution of complex problems, referring to other internal and external stakeholders if deemed necessary, so that inspection plans are continually implemented and compliance with rules and regulations is guaranteed.
  6. Review complex Workforce affairs reports that involve financial action (WPS fines) against the customers to ensure that critical matters are addressed promptly, and corresponding corrective action is taken, thus protecting P&Z’s best interests.
  7. Foster learning and knowledge sharing regarding trends, best practice and ongoing developments in global & local zones to enhance the knowledge and understanding of the team and their evolving responsibilities.
  8. KPI setting for the team & proper distribution of tasks.
  9. Liaise with both Internal Departments and External Governmental agencies including Dubai Courts, Trakhees, Dubai Police, Dubai Customs, World Security etc.
  10. Ensure effective communication of company policies to promote understanding & compliance and actively participate in quickly resolving customer complaints.
  11. Perform other work associated duties as assigned by line manager/management.
