About the business area

Private Banking provides high-net-worth clients with an end-to-end banking service to help manage their full banking and investment needs effectively. Our dedicated bankers provide a wide variety of solutions to meet clients’ investment and borrowing requirements, including complex and bespoke loan structuring. Wealth preservation requirements are addressed through a comprehensive wealth planning solution, tailored to individual needs

In this role, your key responsibilities include
  • Investment Ideas and Advice - Develop new investment ideas and provide advice and guidance to Private Banking Clients colleagues and external clients in order to generate wealth/investment returns for client positions
  • Market Research and Analysis - Conduct market research and analyse market data in order to understand business and economic cycles and forecasts of asset classes
  • Sourcing and Structuring Investment Solutions - Liaise with external parties to source and structure investment products in order to offer tailored investment products to private clients
  • Portfolio Management - In the absence of the department head, make buy/sell decisions on investment portfolios to ensure continuity of portfolio management
  • Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures - Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
  • Self-Management - Manage self in line with the Bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance
  • Customer Service - Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
The ideal candidate should have the following experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in private Banking or asset management in an investment advisor or portfolio manager
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent
  • Understanding of financial markets, drivers and instruments, economics and forecasting
  • A good mix of relationship management skills and strong technical knowledge
  • Ability to articulate technical information in a simple and understandable way for clients
  • Written and spoken English
