Maersk H2S Safety Services is seeking a dedicated and experiencedSeniorHSE Manager with NEBOSH, IOSH, RSPP, ASPP level 6to join our team in UAE. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-risk environments and is passionate about upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental protection.

Working hours: 60 hours per week: 10h/day x 6 days/week

Review client-provided safety documentation and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
Develop and maintain the Health and Safety Plan in collaboration with the HSES team
Prepare and update emergency and evacuation plans based on actual site conditions
Coordinate the procurement and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all site personnel and visitors
Organize safety orientation and training sessions tailored to site-specific risks and procedures
Implement personnel and vehicle identification systems to ensure controlled site access
Conduct regular safety coordination meetings with relevant stakeholders
Plan and execute emergency drills in line with site configuration and emergency plans
Perform job site safety inspections, document findings, and recommend corrective actions
Suspend activities when safety conditions are inadequate
Lead Toolbox Talks to address safety issues and corrective measures
Report and address unsafe behaviours or conditions on site
Manage Permit to Work and Lockout/Tagout systems during commissioning
Organize additional safety training as needed
Oversee incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Residency: UAE resident, living and working locally
Education: degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Technical Diploma, or similar scientific discipline
Experience: minimum 5 years in a safety role within metalworking contexts (preferably steelworks or oil & gas), ideally 10–12 years in EH&S, with at least 5–7 years as EH&S Manager
Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, RSPP, ASPP, or other qualification equivalent to level 6 of the EH&S qualification framework

Capable of transforming the safety culture
Site Activities: willingness to continuously supervise the activities of workers directly in the work area, carrying out office activities at the end of shift
Additional Expertise: root cause analysis, emergency response, accident investigation reporting, safety procedures, audits, minutes of meeting, firefighting, lifting, chemical handling, permit-to-work systems, confined space entry, gas testing, advanced risk assessment
Language: fluent in spoken and written English, Arabic and Italian are a plus
Preferred: previous experience in Gulf region
