The team is growing, and we are currently looking to hire a Senior Engineer, Water Projects.
What I will be doing:
- Monitor project KPIs to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Participate in reviewing and updating the Business Case (BC) to confirm execution requirements, including scope, budget, schedule, and risks.
- Support and participate in the preparation of tender documents and technical evaluations for consultants and contractors.
- Oversee tendering and procurement processes for consultants and contractors.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to align stakeholders on scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Facilitate formal site handover and issue the Site Handing Over Certificate to authorize construction start.
- Organize and maintain engineering documentation in compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Ensure submission and approval of comprehensive baseline programs, including milestones, resource allocation, and related elements.
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedule and budget, proactively addressing deviations.
- Monitor consultants’ and contractors’ performance regarding quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Manage contract scope changes and issue Variation Orders (VOs) as required.
- Implement and monitor effectiveness risk assessments tailored to the local context of Abu Dhabi, applying effective control measures to mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure effective communication and maintain strategic relationships with all stakeholders to support successful project execution and alignment with project objectives.
- Oversee development and execution of Testing and Commissioning Plans in coordination with the commissioning team to verify system readiness.
- Perform regular site visits within Abu Dhabi to monitor project execution, adherence to safety standards, and the timely achievement of project phases.
- Ensure implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) on-site, guaranteeing construction meets design specifications and regulations.
- Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to verify compliance with project standards and quality requirements.
- Coordinate issuance of Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC) and Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) upon checklist completion.
- Prepare and secure approval of the Final Account Statement, detailing all project costs and revenues.
- Ensure all contractual obligations, documentation, and financial settlements are completed to facilitate formal project closeout.
- Undertake all special tasks assigned by the line manager.
What I should I have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
- PMP certification.
- Prince2, or equivalent certifications.
