Job description

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the engineering phase of an offshore oil & gas project. The role will focus on electrical design, engineering deliverables, and technical coordination, with mandatory offshore oil & gas project experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review electrical engineering deliverables for offshore facilities
  • Develop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), load lists, cable schedules, and equipment layouts
  • Perform electrical calculations including load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, and cable sizing
  • Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment
  • Review vendor documents and provide technical clarifications
  • Interface with other disciplines to ensure design integration
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, offshore standards, and applicable international codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC)
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZID / HAZOP / model reviews as required
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5–8 years of Oil & Gas experience
  • Mandatory offshore project engineering experience
  • Strong experience in FEED / Detailed Engineering / Design phases
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering tools (ETAP, EDSA, or equivalent – preferred)
  • Knowledge of offshore electrical systems including LV/MV distribution and hazardous area classification
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight engineering schedules
