Job Description

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Corrosion Engineer to join their team.

The successful engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

1. Design and development of projects covering: Material Selection, Chemical Treatment, Corrosion Monitoring, Protective Coatings, Cathodic Protection, Sour Service Material Selection, and Industrial Water Treatment.
2. Good experience in using various software related to corrosion and materials issues.
3. Develops conceptual design options for corrosion mitigation and control systems. Recommends and designs studies to evaluate and identify the most appropriate and cost-effective design concepts.
4. Leads investigations of technical and commercial aspects of project work related to corrosion mitigation and control systems according to project requirements.
5. Reviews and endorses tender and contract documents related to corrosion mitigation and control projects.
6. Endorses selection of equipment, including investigation and recommendation of suppliers and tenders analysis.
7. Understands and ensures compliance with HSE regulations and quality standards.
8. Accepts responsibility and accountability commensurate with the seniority of the position.
9. Must have strong communication and presentation skills, with a very good command of both spoken and written English.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or equivalent.
• Preferably a higher degree in Corrosion Engineering & Materials.
• Certified NACE Specialist in any of the four available NACE specializations.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in corrosion control and mitigation in oil & gas processing facilities.
