Role Purpose
The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks, and optimizing commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management & Administration
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and strategic partnerships.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal standards, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all contractual documents and amendments.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring alignment with corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
- Monitor contract performance and enforce contractual obligations.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with legal, finance, procurement, and business units to align contract terms with organizational objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on contractual matters and risk exposure.
Negotiation & Strategy
- Lead negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Develop strategies for contract optimization and cost savings.
Dispute Resolution
- Manage and resolve contractual disputes, claims, and variations in a timely and effective manner.
Reporting & Analysis
- Provide regular reports on contract status, risks, and compliance metrics to senior management.
- Analyze trends and recommend improvements to contract management processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in contract management, preferably in industry.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in negotiating high-value and complex contracts.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
