As a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist, you will take the lead in diagnosing and treating a variety of complex ocular conditions, conducting advanced surgical procedures, and guiding a team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of care provided to patients while also contributing to innovative practices within the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with ocular diseases through comprehensive eye examinations.
  • Design and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Perform intricate surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, corneal transplants, and medical retina surgeries.
  • Mentor and educate junior ophthalmologists and support personnel.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care processes and outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest advancements in the field of ophthalmology.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Provide patient education regarding eye health, preventative measures, and treatment options.
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with a completed residency in Ophthalmology.
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology is required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a comprehensive ophthalmology practice.
  • Proven ability to perform advanced ophthalmic surgical procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor junior staff.
