Role Overview

As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies. You will be responsible for overseeing the compliance framework, conducting risk assessments, and implementing controls to mitigate regulatory and operational risks. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management and stakeholders to drive a culture of compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews and audits to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and advice to business units on compliance matters, including regulatory developments and best practices.
  • Collaborate with legal and risk management teams to address compliance issues and enhance controls.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory landscape and update internal policies accordingly.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings accurately and timely.
  • Conduct compliance training sessions for employees to promote awareness and understanding of compliance policies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, CAMS, etc.) preferred.
  • Proven experience (6-7 years) as a Compliance Officer in the financial services industry, with specific exposure to investment management.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements in the UAE and relevant international regulations (e.g., ESMA, SEC, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
