Job summary

A prominent financial institution in Sharjah, UAE is looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to ensure strict adherence to regulations related to transaction monitoring, sanctions, and compliance risk management. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the banking industry and 3 years specifically in transaction monitoring roles. This is a contract position for 12 months with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in transaction monitoring and sanction screening relevant roles.
• 5+ years of experience in processing roles within UAE banking.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
• Own and manage FCC policies and SOPs.
• Develop and manage the FCC strategy.
• Advise Business and Senior Management on FCC matters.

Job responsibilities

• Collaborating with UAB stakeholders to ensure adherence to laws and regulations specific to Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions, KYC/CDD and ABC.
• Ownership and accountability of FCC policies and SOPs
• Risk steward who develops and manages the FCC strategy the adheres with the overall Bank’s strategy and initiatives
• Advisory of the Business and Senior Management on FCC matters

Experience

• 3+ years’ proven experience in transaction monitoring & sanction screening relevant roles within UAE banking, including compliance risk management
• 5+ years’ experience in transaction monitoring & sanction screening processing roles within UAE banking industry
