Job description

AECOM are currently seeking a Senior BIM Technician - Public Health to be based in our Abu Dhabi office. In this role you will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for a variety of building projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality coordinated and efficient designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing systems ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Work closely with engineers to model HVAC systems electrical layouts and plumbing designs maintaining proper spatial coordination.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve issues between MEP systems and other disciplines using tools like Navisworks Revizto.
• Develop custom Revit families for specific MEP components as required by project needs.
• Collaborate with sustainability teams to integrate energy analysis and environmental considerations into MEP designs.
• Generate detailed schematics layouts and schedules for MEP systems ensuring compliance with design standards.
• Provide BIM support for construction teams addressing design issues and making real‑time adjustments to models.
• Ensure MEP models follow industry‑specific and Local Authority standards (e.g. ASHRAE CIBSE) and project BIM Execution Plans.

Qualifications

• A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject.
• A minimum of 7 years is required for this role.
