Key Responsibilities

• Execute the month-end and year-end closing processes in SAP S/4HANA ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage and validate vendor and customer invoices resolving complex discrepancies and ensuring timely processing.
• Handle prepayment schedules depreciation calculations accruals and provisions ensuring compliance with internal financial policies and IFRS.
• Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts resolving variances promptly.
• Conduct bank reconciliations identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and post complex journal entries including recurring and ad hoc entries.
• Oversee vendor payments using SAP and banking platforms ensuring compliance with internal controls and timelines.
• Conduct vendor account reconciliations resolving disputed balances and ensuring accuracy.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and coordinate the issuance of intercompany invoices.
• Ensure compliance in reviewing and processing employee expense claims.
• Support audit preparations providing detailed schedules and serving as the primary point of contact for auditors.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff offering guidance on SAP processes and best practices.

Qualifications & Attributes

Were seeking someone who embodies the following:

Education

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline; CPA ACCA or CMA preferred.

Experience

5-7 years of progressive accounting experience with mandatory UAE experience.

Technical Skills

Must-haves: Expert-level proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and advanced financial accounting skills. Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations IFRS standards and financial compliance requirements.
