Job description

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and experienced School Nurse to join our team at The Millennium School, Dubai

Reporting to the School Doctor, the successful applicant will support the school and assist in providing optimal learning opportunities by supplying the services needed to identify health‑related barriers to education and addressing each student's health needs thereby improving their ability to learn.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that students and parents adhere to, and are well informed of immunization programs as per Ministry of Health guidelines.
  • Be available to students and staff to address their immediate medical needs, providing a source of medical advice.
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records of all students as regulated by the Ministry of Health.
  • Establish procedures for providing first aid in case of accidents or illness on the school campus or during school functions.
  • Embrace and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in the GEMS Core Values.
  • Refer accidents or illnesses appropriately to the school doctor or hospitals and inform parents and the school Principal.
  • Be present for all student‑related activities on campus.
  • Keep up to date with current medical practices and regulations, as prescribed by Governmental authorities.
  • Ensure the GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
  • Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical workday, where the tasks require additional commitment.
  • Perform other duties as requested by direct & dotted reporting line managers/supervisor.
Experience and qualification requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Graduate
  • Registered Nurse
  • Dubai Health Authority (DHA) nursing license
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Dubai
  • School / Nursery experience required
Skills
  • Excellent English Communication skills and positive interpersonal.
  • The ability to remain calm in case of emergency and cope with a degree of pressure at peak times.
  • A logical and relaxed individual able to interact with a variety of people from different backgrounds and cultures.
