Overview of the Role

The Sales Assistant is responsible for generating sales and delivering a positive customer experience within the market hall area. The role requires maintaining store standards, arranging products, and supporting all operational duties assigned by the shopkeeper. Success in this role is demonstrated by meeting sales targets, contributing to customer satisfaction, and actively participating in store activities while upholding company policies and brand values.

What You Will Do
  • Maintain store standards and cleanliness to create a sparkling clean and organized environment.
  • Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise, the brand, and the company.
  • Assume and complete other duties as assigned by the shopkeeper.
  • Meet or exceed weekly sales targets and participate in market hall inventories.
  • Attend all store meetings and related functions.
  • Punctuality and adherence to designated work schedule.
  • Flexibility in working with peers and management to accomplish duties.
  • Follow IKEA policies and procedures 100%.
  • Create a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adhering to dress code.
  • Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile.
  • Provide customers with current relevant information.
