Summary

The Receiver is responsible for overseeing the receipt and proper storage of goods and supplies for the hotel ensuring accuracy quality and timely delivery. This role is crucial in maintaining efficient operations by confirming the delivery of goods managing inventory and supporting the purchasing department.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all deliveries ensuring they match purchase orders are in good condition and meet quality standards.
• Ensure that all incoming goods are signed for and documented accurately.
• Organize and store deliveries in the appropriate storage areas ensuring proper inventory management.
• Report discrepancies damages or shortages to the purchasing department or suppliers.
• Assist in the inventory control process by maintaining accurate records of goods received and ensuring items are properly labeled.
• Communicate with the purchasing team suppliers and hotel departments regarding deliveries and inventory needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Assist with stocktaking and periodic inventory audits as required.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations regarding the handling and storage of goods.
