About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute QS Manager to lead the quantity surveying and commercial management function for our construction projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost planning, contract administration, and claims management, with a strong ability to drive financial control and ensure project profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cost planning, budget development, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation for projects across all phases.
  • Conduct tender analysis, evaluation, and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Oversee contract administration throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Manage variations, claims, and change orders, including preparation, submission, and negotiation with clients and consultants.
  • Prepare and present monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and commercial performance dashboards to senior management.
  • Coordinate closely with Planning, Procurement, and Engineering teams to align commercial and technical objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely valuation of work done, interim payments, and final account settlements.
  • Provide commercial guidance and risk assessment to project teams, supporting strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in quantity surveying and commercial management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role on medium to large-scale construction projects.
  • Professional accreditation such as RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) membership is highly preferred.
  • Extensive experience with FIDIC contractis essential.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

Salary Range

AED 20,000 – AED 22,000 per month (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
