Job Title - Quality Assurance Lead
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Lead to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality software and systems within a trading and industrial solutions environment. This role is responsible for defining QA strategy, implementing testing frameworks, managing QA resources, and ensuring that products and solutions meet functional, performance, and security standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, technical expertise, and a hands‑on approach to quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
QA Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement QA strategies, policies, and best practices aligned with business objectives.
- Define testing scope, objectives, timelines, and success criteria for projects.
- Establish QA standards, processes, and metrics to ensure consistent quality delivery.
Test Management & Execution
- Lead and coordinate functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing activities.
- Review test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Track defects, monitor resolution progress, and verify fixes.
Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Manage, mentor, and guide QA engineers and testers to build a high-performing QA team.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify skill gaps, and support team development.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify areas for QA process optimization and implement automation frameworks where applicable.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve SDLC processes.
- Ensure efficient and repeatable testing processes using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with project managers, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
- Communicate QA status, risks, and recommendations to leadership and project teams.
- Facilitate defect triage, root‑cause analysis, and resolution planning.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure QA activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate QA documentation, reports, and records.
- Monitor key QA metrics and provide insights to support management decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of experience in QA, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, and testing frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with test management, automation, and performance testing tools.
- Familiarity with software development technologies and integration patterns.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in trading or industrial solutions is an advantage.
