Job description
Responsibilities
  • Inspect the installation of electrical systems including power supply, lighting and wiring, ensuring they conform to project specifications and standards.

  • Review electrical drawings (single-line diagrams, schematics) to ensure the installation matches the design requirements.

  • Ensure that all electrical equipment (cables, breakers, panels, transformers, etc.) meets the required specifications before installation.

  • Verify the proper installation of electrical components including cable trays, wiring, grounding and junction boxes, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

  • Conduct testing on electrical systems and components such as insulation resistance, continuity and power supply functionality.

  • Perform routine inspections to verify that all electrical installations are operational and in line with engineering specifications.

  • Identify and document non-conformities in electrical systems and report findings to the QA/QC lead for corrective action.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations during inspections.

  • Prepare detailed reports on inspection results including findings, recommendations and corrective actions.

  • Verify calibration of electrical instruments and ensure all testing equipment is functioning correctly.

  • Support the commissioning team to ensure electrical systems are properly tested and functional before handover.

  • Conduct final inspections and prepare electrical systems for handover to the client or operations team.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues during the installation and commissioning phases.

  • Monitor the performance of electrical systems during testing and verify they meet operational standards.

Qualifications
