Job Title: Project Manager Rotating Equipment Services

Location: Abu Dhabi UAE (Office-based with site/regional travel)
Sector: Oil & Gas / Energy / Industrial Services
Reporting To: Operations Manager

The Opportunity

Our client is a leading international industrial group specialising in the service maintenance and refurbishment of rotating equipment. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong procurement capabilities to oversee service projects across the UAE.

This is a critical role responsible for end-to-end project execution from award to completion ensuring safety quality and compliance with major regional operator standards (e.g. ADNOC/DEWA).

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Execution
  • Manage the full lifecycle of rotating equipment service projects (overhauls repairs modifications and field services).
  • Develop detailed execution plans schedules budgets and resource plans.
  • Coordinate internal teams (field engineers workshop staff) and external subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress costs and risks implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and client requirements (e.g. ADNOC/DEWA standards).
  • Manage change orders claims and variations in coordination with commercial teams.
2. Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Coordinate procurement for materials spare parts and subcontracted services.
  • Prepare technical/commercial RFQs and evaluate vendor bids.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost quality and delivery targets.
  • Track supplier performance and expedite deliveries to meet project timelines.
  • Oversee logistics shipping and customs clearance activities.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Support tendering activities by providing inputs on execution plans and cost estimates.
  • Lead project close-out activities including final documentation and invoicing.
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Education
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Minimum requirement).
  • Minimum 1015 years of experience in project management within rotating equipment oil & gas or power sectors.
  • Proven experience managing service/maintenance projects for turbines compressors and pumps.
  • Strong UAE experience is essential specifically working with major operators (e.g. ADNOC/DEWA) or major OEMs.
Technical Skills
  • Mandatory: Excellent knowledge of MS Office AutoCAD 3D and Primavera P6.
  • Mandatory: Strong proficiency in SAP for procurement and project tracking.
  • Solid understanding of project controls scheduling and cost management.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge of API ASME and relevant industry standards.
  • Experience with ADNOC procurement systems.
