Job description
Project Coordinator – Industrial Projects | Dubai, UAE

(Confidential employer – represented by PeopleScout)

Are you a proactive, hands‑on project professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment?

We are supporting a global engineering organisation in hiring a Project Coordinator to join their expanding operations team in Dubai. This role plays a critical part in delivering complex industrial projects for major customers across the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Energy sectors.

As the central point of coordination between customers, suppliers, engineering teams and manufacturing facilities, you will “own” your projects end‑to‑end—driving communication, ensuring timelines are met, and keeping all stakeholders aligned.

What you will be responsible for
  • Acting as the single point of contact for customers, suppliers and internal teams
  • Overseeing projects from order initiation to final delivery
  • Managing supplier relationships including PO placement, follow‑ups and delivery tracking
  • Proactively expediting information to prevent delays and resolve issues
  • Coordinating project schedules, milestones, shipments and documentation
  • Preparing status reports and presenting project updates to internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction
  • Supporting budget tracking and risk mitigation activities
  • Collaborating closely with sales, logistics, engineering and finance teams across multiple regions
Who we are looking for

This role requires a highly communicative, confident and action‑oriented individual.

Based on discussions with the hiring team, communication, assertiveness and proactivity are more important than deep technical expertise.

You are ideal for this role if you are:

  • A strong communicator who is not afraid to pick up the phone, push for information, and escalation when needed
  • Proactive, hands‑on and solutions‑oriented—someone who “drives” the project, not waits to be told
  • Able to juggle 5–10 projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment with demanding customers
  • Structured, reliable and excellent at time management
  • Able to influence stakeholders at all levels
Experience & Skills
  • Background in project coordination or project management in industrial, engineering or Oil & Gas environments
  • Technical exposure to mechanical/equipment‑based projects is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across suppliers, customers and internal teams
  • Experience with ERP/project tracking systems (training can be provided)
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) preferred but not essential
  • Must be based in the UAE – relocation is not available
Work Model
  • On‑site role in Dubai (office‑based due to customer proximity and project collaboration needs)
  • Occasional customer or supplier visits (within short distance)
Why this role is exciting
  • Join a growing business in a rapidly expanding region
  • Opportunity to work with high‑value industrial projects (€0.5M–3M typical size)
  • Real visibility, ownership and direct customer impact
  • Clear growth potential for high‑performing individuals
  • (the leadership team explicitly highlighted internal development opportunities)
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary (aligned with Dubai market and internal budget structures)
  • Annual bonus
  • Medical insurance, flight allowance, end‑of‑service benefit
