Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

The NCR Project Manager is responsible for management of Payment Solution project implementations, ensuring delivery and acceptance of high-quality solutions. The Project Manager will work with NCR and customer resources to perform project reviews, accomplish the tasks defined in the project plan, manage day-to-day project activities, and serve as NCR's single point of contact with the customer.

  • Ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and within customer expectations of quality and functionality
  • Prepare and maintain a detailed project schedule and play a lead role in scoping, planning, costing, and pricing projects; responsible for statement of work development and risk assessment
  • Manage customer acceptance of the solution, ensuring customer expectations stay in line with the agreed statement of work; taking the lead in working through all issues and action items
  • Coordinate the establishment of a project environment that includes preparing and maintaining a roles/responsibility matrix, personnel plan, and resource schedule for each project member.
  • Measure, track, evaluate, and communicate progress against the Project schedule using project reports, including project financials and project reporting compliance.
  • Author a weekly status report that is distributed and reviewed each week with the end user (Customer) in status meetings.
  • Tool usage will include but is not limited to MS Project, PSA, Excel, and MS Word, and will be executed using standard NCR formats and templates
  • Ensure execution and accuracy of monthly forecasts, billings, along with the managing procurement and payment of contractors

Basic Qualifications

  • Banking application experience a must
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 0-2 years of project management experience
  • Experience at working effectively in challenging solution implementation environments
  • Experience managing complex technology projects
  • Banking operations experience specifically in payment processing is a plus
  • Innovative and Resourceful. Develops new approaches for situations in which standard approaches do not apply.
  • Adaptable - Adjusts to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change. Accepts and adapts to new or alternative approaches
