Job summary

A leading engineering services provider in Dubai is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee production projects in the marine sector. The role requires 8 years of experience in project engineering, strong technical skills, and commitment to safety and compliance. Responsibilities include planning and monitoring projects, managing engineering resources, and client communication. Immediate joiner preferred.

Qualifications

  • 8 years in project engineering, preferably in ship repair or shipbuilding.
  • Strong technical knowledge and project management skills.
  • Willingness to work in a marine environment including shipyards and onboard vessels.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and monitor production projects ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Provide engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Work closely with production teams, project managers and other departments to ensure seamless project execution and communication.
  • Manage the allocation of engineering resources, materials and equipment to support project activities efficiently. Make sure of issue from store and resubmission on site or store with proper tracking methord.
  • Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including engineering reports, drawings and specifications.
  • Identify and address technical issues that arise during project execution providing solutions to maintain project flow.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project updates and technical inquiries.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with health, safety and environmental regulations, conducting safety assessments as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for efficiency gains and enhanced productivity.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine or related field).
  • Experience: 8 years in project engineering, preferably within ship repair or shipbuilding.
  • Strong technical knowledge and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
  • Strong problem-solution skills and attention to detail.
