Role Overview
The Programme Director – Digital Transformation will lead the strategic planning, execution, and governance of enterprise-wide digital initiatives. This role is responsible for driving the organization’s digital agenda, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and delivering measurable value through technology-enabled transformation. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record of delivering complex digital programmes across multiple functions and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement the organization’s digital transformation roadmap aligned with business strategy.
- Drive innovation through adoption of emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, automation, and data analytics.
- Champion a digital-first culture across all levels of the organization.
Programme Management
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of multiple digital programmes, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Establish and maintain strong governance, performance metrics, and reporting structures.
- Identify and mitigate programme risks, dependencies, and change impacts.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with executive leadership, business unit heads, and technology partners to ensure alignment of priorities and deliverables.
- Communicate programme vision, progress, and benefits to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage third-party vendors, consultants, and implementation partners effectively.
Change & Adoption
- Lead organizational change management to ensure successful adoption of digital tools and processes.
- Develop strategies to enhance employee engagement and digital capability building.
Performance & Value Delivery
- Monitor KPIs and ROI to measure the effectiveness of digital initiatives.
- Continuously refine digital programmes based on business outcomes and customer feedback.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive experience in programme management, with at least 8 years in digital transformation leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar digital initiatives.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture, emerging technologies, and data-driven business models.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, MSP, PRINCE2, Agile, or TOGAF are highly desirable.
