The Program Analyst is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of the project and portfolio pipeline through detailed data analysis, reporting, and process optimization. The role ensures that projects align with organizational goals, comply with established standards, and are delivered within approved timelines and budgets. The Program Analyst works closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to provide insights that support informed decision-making and effective portfolio management.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze project and portfolio data to assess performance metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to line managers.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on project and portfolio status, risks, and performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track the progress of multiple projects, providing regular updates on timelines, budgets, milestones, and overall alignment with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate existing project management processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with industry best practices.
  • Identify potential project risks and support the development of mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure projects comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and operations, to support effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in resource allocation and optimization across multiple projects to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Support leadership decision-making through data analytics, reporting, and scenario modelling to identify improvement opportunities, cost savings, and resource efficiencies.
  • Monitor vendor and contractor performance to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and identify potential delays or issues.
  • Support change management by assessing the impact of scope, cost, and schedule changes and ensuring adherence to change control procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and provide guidance on data management, reporting tools, and project performance tracking best practices.

Requirements and Skills

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program analysis, project controls, or PMO roles, preferably within the aviation or construction industry.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and data analysis tools.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
