Job summary

A manufacturing company in Dubai is seeking a production operator to manage the shop floor effectively. The individual will be responsible for preparing daily production plans, maintaining high productivity, quality, and safety standards, and supporting manufacturing processes. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in manufacturing, knowledge of production processes, and good communication skills. This position requires a readiness to work shifts and the ability to coordinate with various teams.

Produce as per the procedures and to load/unload material and to perform general shop floor activities.

Production and inventory target to be met as per set targets.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in setting and implementing processes that deliver EHS standards set by the Group.
• Drive the values in the production department.
• Manage production shop floor and produce/convert/fill out/pack as per procedures.
• Prepare a daily production plan for manufacturing in keeping with customer requirements and stock levels.
• Work out feasibility of manufacturing different types of products and manage distribution of raw materials.
• Work with Material Planner/Buyer to determine stock levels for all raw materials.
• Maintain high standards of productivity, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
• Keep and maintain all equipment, tools, and tackles in liaison with engineering/maintenance department.
• Liaise effectively with all other workers for smooth conduct of work.
• Load/unload material as per plan.
• Follow QA procedures scrupulously.
• Coordinate with other workers to obtain optimum production.
• In case of exigency, work in any section of Production Department (/Manufacturing/Material administration).
• Carry out duties and responsibilities in relation to EHS for safety of workers and site.
• Report any act, incident, or issue that can cause accident or injury.
• Actively participate in companys H&S programs.
• Ensure appropriate PPE is worn when required.
• Ad hoc responsibilities as per managers discretion.

Key Working Relationships

• Internal: EHS, Production Shift In charge, Purchase & CSD, Factory Manager & Maintenance Team, Raw Materials and Pre-batching personnel, Quality Control, Distribution
• External: Vendor drivers, Packaging suppliers, Scrap Vendors

Skills required

Minimum one year experience in manufacturing, good knowledge of production and manufacturing process, logical approach to tasks and problems, manpower management, good knowledge of Microsoft Office conversant in written and spoken English, ability to communicate across all levels and nationalities.

Educational requirements

Pre-university or Diploma.
