Job Description

This individual acts as a team lead, overseeing clerical, support, analysis, and research tasks, and reviews reports compiled for planning. Based on properly authorized customer demand, they analyze materials and capacity requirements and communicate constraints to the concerned teams.

The role involves coordinating the daily activities of the team and responsibilities such as attendance/vacation scheduling, claims, training, coaching, development, and interviews.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Analyzing materials and capacity requirements based on customer demand and communicating constraints to the Operations manager and Sales team.
  2. Setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinating work activities with other supervisors.
  3. Coordinating the business planning process (S&OP) involving all business functions to ensure excellent customer service at optimized cost.
  4. Being primarily responsible for capacity planning for the designated product line and developing supply strategies to improve service and reduce costs.
  5. Working with regional Supply Chain Planning teams and country Demand Planning contacts to capture and aggregate demand information.
  6. Monitoring actual performance vs. objectives, preparing gap analyses, and implementing corrective actions.
  7. Initiating and coordinating Lean/Sigma and Kaizen projects within the designated product lines.

Qualifications include:

  • Experience in the printing manufacturing industry is an advantage. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Production, Logistics, Business, or related field. 4+ years of experience in SML or related areas.
  • Supervisory or lead experience preferred, especially within the printing industry.
  • Knowledge of products or processes in Offset, PFL, RFID, Flexo, and Thermal printing.
  • Proficient understanding of supply chain, materials management, and logistics concepts and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Green Belt or ELS certification preferred.
