Market Research & Competitive Intelligence
- Analyze global and regional market trends in chemicals (e.g., specialty, commodity, industrial, agrochemicals).
- Track emerging applications, innovations, and end-user industry trends (e.g., automotive, pharma, coatings).
- Monitor competitor activities: pricing, product launches, partnerships, and regulatory changes.
Product Strategy & Positioning
- Help define product value propositions based on market needs and performance metrics.
- Support product managers in shaping the product roadmap aligned with customer demands and market gaps.
- Assist in identifying product opportunities or discontinuations based on market dynamics.
Sales Enablement & Support
- Provide the sales team with technical product knowledge, competitive comparisons, and customer-ready materials.
- Analyze customer segments and sales data to support strategic targeting.
Pricing & Profitability Analysis
- Conduct pricing analysis based on cost structures, competitor pricing, and market elasticity.
- Recommend pricing strategies to maximize margin and market share, especially in volatile markets like chemicals.
Customer Insights & Feedback
- Analyze customer satisfaction, usage behavior, and feedback to inform product improvements or feature development.
- Identify unmet needs or pain points in current offerings and relay insights to R&D and marketing teams.
Regulatory & Compliance Awareness
- Stay informed on regulatory frameworks (e.g., REACH, GHS, EPA, COFEPRIS) affecting chemical products and their usage.
- Ensure marketing and technical documentation aligns with compliance and safety standards.
Technical Publications & Industry Presence
- Support the creation of white papers, technical case studies, or application notes to highlight product performance.
- Participate in trade shows, webinars, and conferences to gather intelligence and represent the company.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a strategic link between Product Development, Sales, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Align internal stakeholders with market demands and commercial objectives.
Required Qualification
Master\'s OR bachelor\'s degree in chemical engineering.
