Job Overview:

The IT Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of IT products and services, including hardware, software, licenses, AMC/AMS contracts, and IT services. The role involves ensuring cost-effectiveness, vendor performance, and compliance with procurement policies while supporting business and IT objectives of Albatha group.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Business Performance

  • Drive cost savings through effective sourcing, vendor negotiations, and contract optimization.
  • Monitor IT procurement KPIs (procurement cycle time, cost avoidance, compliance levels).
  • Ensure timely renewals of AMCs, AMS, and licenses to avoid service disruptions.
  • Support IT budget planning by providing accurate spend forecasts and procurement insights.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation and process automation to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational data security and information security standards.
  • Work closely with external vendors to resolve critical issues and deliver innovative solutions in a timely manner.
  • Prepare regular procurement performance and MIS reports for management review.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, savings and cost avoidance within IT procurement.

2. Customer and Partner Relations

  • Act as the primary interface between IT procurement and internal stakeholders (IT, Finance, Legal, Business Units).
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into procurement actions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors, OEMs, and service providers.
  • Monitor vendor performance against SLAs, warranties, and contracts, ensuring accountability.
  • Conduct periodic vendor evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

3. People Management

  • Support team members in daily procurement operations and ensure adherence to policies.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.

4. Leadership/Innovation

  • Introduce best practices in IT procurement, sourcing, and vendor governance.
  • Benchmark procurement practices with industry standards and recommend improvements.
  • Support leadership in strategic initiatives such as IT transformation projects or group-wide procurement synergies.

1. Ensure timely procurement of IT products and services applying to TCO.

2. Improved end-user satisfaction and system adoption rates.

3. IT procurement process improvement with IT procurement optimization & consolidation

4. Continuous process improvements aligned with organizational goals.

Education Qualification and Experience:

  • A university degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in IT product & service procurements.
  • Having knowledge and relationships with key IT principal vendors, distributors, resellers and in the region.
  • Proven track record in managing complex IT procurement cycles, contracts, and vendor management in SAP and SAP processes for procurement optimization & consolidation.
  • Strong exposure to IT contracts and agreement drafting, including AMC/AMS and SLA-based contracts.
  • Knowledge and application of procurement frameworks such as Kraljic Matrix and Mendelow Matrix for vendor and stakeholder management.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP MM module.
  • Proven track record of managing complex IT procurement & vendor management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in P2P tools.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and adept at driving continuous process improvements.
