We are currently seeking a Procurement Officer for one of our well-known clients, based in their Dubai office.

Job Purpose:

The Job Holder is accountable for negotiating offers and purchasing required goods and services at the lowest cost while meeting relevant quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Review, renew, and manage all maintenance contracts related to the Business Unit's awarded maintenance jobs to ensure proper renewal of those contracts.
  2. Review, renew, and manage maintenance jobs related to the Business Unit's customers and the owner's office on an urgent and priority basis.
  3. Review, clarify, and process internal requisitions for goods and services required by Business Units to facilitate procurement.
  4. Send inquiries to suppliers when needed and compare quotes to evaluate the best offers received.
  5. Negotiate the best price and conditions for offers received to reduce costs and enhance company performance.
  6. Verify that goods offered match specifications and quality standards to ensure correct procurement.
  7. Prepare reports for management on departmental objectives and activities.
  8. Record RFQs (requests for quotation) and Purchase Orders in Oracle to document and process procurement activities.
  9. Obtain approval and signatures from the Purchase Manager or Assistant for processing orders.
  10. Coordinate with Requesters from Business Units regarding order processing, supplier delivery conditions, and other relevant information to ensure timely and reliable delivery.
  11. Qualifications:
  • Graduation in any discipline.
  • Good knowledge of contracting, construction, and maintenance fields, as well as related suppliers.
  • Ability to organize work priorities.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role in the UAE.
  • Effective listening, understanding, and response skills.
  • High integrity, good ethics, and zero tolerance for non-compliance.
  • Disciplined approach to work.
