We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team and manage indirect procurement activities across various categories.
Key Skills Required
- Proven experience in sourcing and procuring indirect items such as:
- Safety & PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- General Services (e.g., cleaning, maintenance)
- Concrete & Other Ready-Mix Requests
- Stationery & Office Supplies
- Trucks & Equipment Spare Parts
- Facilities Management
- Vehicle Rentals (Rent-a-Car)
- Excellent knowledge of the full procurement cycle, including:
- Supplier Sourcing & Vetting
- Request for Quotation (RFQ) / Tender Management
- Price and Contract Negotiation
- Purchase Order (PO) Management
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
- Ability to analyze market trends, compare quotes, and negotiate favorable terms and prices.
- Competence in using procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Handle all stages of the procurement process for assigned indirect categories, from requisition to final delivery and payment.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers. Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure consistent supply and service quality.
- Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
- Conduct market analysis to stay informed on pricing, product innovations, and supply chain trends related to indirect items.
- Work closely with various departments (e.g., Operations, HR, and Facilities) to understand their needs and provide timely support.
- Ensure all procurement activities are properly documented and tracked in the system. Generate regular reports on procurement performance, savings, and key metrics.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
